FEBRUARY 13, 2020 – THOUGH THE FIELDS YIELD NO MEAT

17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:  18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3: 17, 18 (KJV)

There are times when the field simply does not produce its crop. The farmer may do all he can, plant at the proper time, remove weeds and pests from the crop, water properly, etc. But sometimes, the crop just doesn’t yield what is expected. I think you know what I mean.

You studied but didn’t pass.

You prayed but the answer was no.

You interviewed but didn’t get the job.

You tried but the relationship still failed.

You planted but the field produced no crop.

Keep studying.

Keep praying.

Keep interviewing.

Keep trying.

Keep planting.

Keep believing.

And do so with joy.
