FEBRUARY 18, 2020 – THOUGH THE FLOCK BE CUT OFF FROM THE FOLD

17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:  18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3: 17, 18 (KJV)

Alone. In silence. Away from air and sunlight. Secluded from comradery and fellowship. That’s what happens when you are plucked from your package and planted into the deep rich soil. That’s what the Master Farmer does to His precious seeds. He plants them alone, in silence, away from air and sunlight, and secludes them from each other. To make matters worse, the roots of a seed grow downward before the plant begins to sprout.

Perhaps that’s what’s happening to you right now.

You might be feeling low and alone.

The silence may be deafening.

But hold on.

You may feel cut off from the fold, but growth and change are happening!

It has been said that no seed ever sees the flower. When the plant is fully grown, there is no sign of the seed. Soon there will be change and the old you will be unrecognizable.

Believe in the possibility of change.
