FEBRUARY 16, 2020 – HE SHALL FEED HIS FLOCK

17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flockshall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3: 17, 18 (KJV)

God desires to feed us, but sometimes we are too distracted to receive the nourishment we so desperately need. In my Sunshine in the Shadows seminars, we talk about the need for balance and selfcare. We need rest, reasonable schedules, sometimes counseling, and an outlet.

I encourage you to adopt a system (HALT) where you are never too Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired. Whenever any of those four areas are out of balance, we do not perform at our best. And it is difficult to hear God’s voice or receive His abundant blessings when we are out of balance.

Today, let’s take a moment to find balance.

He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, And carry them in His bosom, And gently lead those who are with young. Isaiah 40:11 (NKJV)
